Overview

The Avison Young downtown San Francisco office is seeking a Financial Analyst, able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with a senior broker.

Responsibilities

Principal Responsibilities

  • Produce cash flow analyses to compare lease proposals.
  • Utilize CoStar and other platforms to gather market data and prepare market surveys.
  • Tour properties with landlord and tenant clients and assist brokers during client meetings.
  • Abstract leases and assist in preparing and reviewing lease proposals.
  • Prepare comprehensive tour packages for tenant clients.
  • Coordinate and set up tenant lease tours.
  • Conduct research on potential clients to support business development efforts.
  • Help strategize for upcoming pitches through research and creative input.
  • Assist in the creation of presentation and pitch materials for new business opportunities.
  • Input building and tenant data into Avison Young Technologies.
  • Support the development of strong client relationships by delivering best-in-class service and providing timely, relevant information.

 Required Skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint), with the ability to produce high-quality presentation materials.
  • Ability to model cash flow scenarios using Excel.
  • Experience using software tools to create marketing tour books.
  • Strong writing, editing, and analytical abilities.
  • Experience in conducting research to support business development opportunities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, including occasional overtime, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to reprioritize tasks on a daily basis given varying team requirements.
  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-3 years of commercial real estate experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree (preference for degree in business, accounting, or finance)
  • Internship experience (or currently working in commercial real estate industry is a plus)
  • California Salesperson Real Estate License or in the process of obtaining
  • Advanced knowledge and efficient use of business suite computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
