Overview

The Assistant General Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing all business operations in a secondary leadership capacity when the General Manager is present on the property. Additionally, the Assistant General Manager assumes the leadership role in the absence of the General Manager. A key focus of this role is to handle all marketing objectives of the center under the direction of the General Manager. Strong organizational, time management, and outreach skills are essential for success in this position. The Assistant General Manager represents the center both on and off the property in relation to all assigned property responsibilities. Working closely with the General Manager, the Assistant General Manager is accountable for fulfilling essential duties as assigned.

 

The base salary rate is aligned with market data and is estimated between $85,000.00 to $110,000.00 (salary) with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus.  This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors, including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity. 

 

Responsibilities

PROPERTY MANAGEMENT

  • The AGM will take on key on-site Specialty Leasing responsibilities while also ensuring a more seamless integration with property management functions, including:
  • Collaborating with the team to manage all specialty leasing inquiries
  • Managing tenant relations
  • Coordinating receivables with BH accounting
  • Oversee license agreement generation and execution to ensure timely and accurate processing
  • Ensuring security deposit collection and insurance compliance
  • The AGM will also provide additional support to site operations, including assisting the Operations Manager and ensuring stronger integration between departments
  • This restructuring allows for operational efficiency and specialty leasing execution. By adding this role, Pacific Place can achieve both operational improvements and financial efficiencies without compromising service quality

MARKETING MANAGER

  • Provide superior customer service to retailers, customers, and any potential sponsorship partners.
  • Direct and participate in a social media – Facebook
  • Support promotional concepts and marketing programs that drive sales/traffic to both the center and tenants.
  • Assist in local implementation of key marketing programs, including those at various retail key periods, including but not limited to January Clearance Period, Presidents/Valentines Day, Find Your Spring Fashion, July 4th, BTS, and holiday.
  • Serve as the point person for all marketing/traffic driving event activations.
  • Develop retailer relations by establishing and maintaining a thorough understanding of the retailer business.
  • Prepare all sales and traffic reports, media relations, and other necessary marketing/center-related documents.
  • Encourage and proactively lead team communication and idea exchanges.
  • Work special events which may be held at night, on weekends, and/or holidays

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or two to four years related experience and/or training in the Shopping Center Industry – Outlet experience highly desired.   
  • Ability to provide timely and accurate response to all involved with the property
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to manage time effectively
  • Knowledge of business practices and principles
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Effective negotiating and management skills
