Overview

We are currently looking for a Analyst who is intelligent, assertive and a determined person who wants a dynamic career in commercial real estate to join our fast growing team in San Francisco, California. The position is full time, salary.  The candidate will be responsible for assisting a commercial real estate brokers with the following tasks outlined below.

 

The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $60,000 to $70,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus.  This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring Avison Young has a clear, data-based, analytically informed view of current trends and outlooks for all relevant real estate markets and sectors within the region; this view will be informed by wider trends at national and global levels, be updated on a timely basis, and communicated clearly and effectively to key stakeholders
  • Develop subject matter expertise on the Southern California region through the tracking and analysis of real estate and real estate-adjacent data
  • Partnering with Regional Market Intelligence leadership to author highly regular data-driven market intelligence reports utilizing digital tools that can influence clients’ decision-making processes and promote the Avison Young brand
  • Engaging select occupier and investor clients to guide them through market conditions by leveraging our proprietary digital data analytics tools that help to shape and solve their real estate strategies more dynamically and seamlessly
  • Interact with key AY stakeholders to understand local business needs, gather and incorporate feedback on product and service development, and maximize the Regional Team’s contribution to AY’s business efforts
  • Reviewing products daily by enriching and validating core real estate data including properties, images, documents, companies, leases, sales, scoop and availabilities to ensure completeness, consistency, and quality
  • Collaborating, growing and optimizing best-in-class daily data collection processes to consolidate data sources, utilize automated workflows and engage with local resources to capture and enhance micro real estate data on properties, companies, availabilities, leases, sales and scoop, among other data verticals

Qualifications

 

  • 1-3 years of work experience in Real Estate preferred.
  • Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative information and translate into strategic deliverables.
  • Familiarity and some experience abstracting leases and understanding of various lease structures.
  • Strong computer orientation and proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint and Word software is required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (applicant will need to submit previous work product).
  • Ability to work independently and within a team on a wide variety of projects.
  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure and effectively manage time and workload.
  • Ability to reprioritize tasks on a daily basis given varying team requirements.
  • Advanced understanding of real estate fundamentals, economic metrics, and research processes.
  • A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment.
