Overview

We are seeking an HR Data Coordinator to join our dynamic and energetic Human Resources (HR) team. At Avison Young, you will be the go-to person for assuring accurate data are reported on all our people—from titles, hire dates, pay rates, benefits elections, attrition rates, and more. You will be a data-driven and highly proactive individual offering support to the HR team and wider business with analysis and people metrics to influence decision-making. You will have excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products, specifically focusing on Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. You have a keen interest in interpreting and summarizing data and have proven to have a solutions-oriented approach. You will have the ability to provide clear, concise, relevant, and accurate information in formats suitable for the audience receiving the information.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support in various day-to-day operations of the HR department, including maintaining the entry and accuracy of all employee data in HRIS (ADP), including new hires, employee changes, leaves, and separations
  • Perform internal data audits for HR operations – titles, reviewing supervisors, emergency contacts, etc.
  • Monitors HR databases to ensure quality assurance and data integrity
  • Reinforce internal processes and analytics best practices
  • Produce government or regulatory reports and stay current on reporting regulations (ex. EEO-1, Social Security validations, etc.)
  • Support HR reporting needs and ad hoc requests
  • Ensure that established processes and any associated SOPs are updated and followed
  • Assist with facilitating key people-related processes, including onboarding, leave of absence management, employee data maintenance and benefits administration
  • In partnership with HR team members, monitor, respond to and escalate emails from HR inbox to senior team members as necessary
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and information; maintains HR knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in HR and working with HR data
  • HRIS (ADP or similar) and reporting software experience
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example using AVERAGE, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP functions, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table)
  • Experience altering variables and criteria in queries to generate report
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle priorities and to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and drive them to completion
  • Dedication to maintaining strict confidentiality with respect to highly sensitive information
