Overview

The Morristown, NJ office is currently seeking an experienced Part-time Accountant.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Accounting Managers as directed by the Controller
  • Record and reconcile financial information
  • Review and post accounts payables and accounts receivables batches
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Calculate monthly sales & use tax for Florida properties
  • Process monthly journal entries at the direction of the Accounting Managers
  • Assist in reviewing general ledger for accuracy prior to month-end close
  • Assist with the production of monthly reporting packages for clients
  • Prepare management fee calculations for Accounting Manger review
  • Assist with the budget process
  • Assist with the CAM Reconciliation process
  • Assist management with special projects when requested

Qualifications

  • University degree or college diploma in an accounting related field of study
  • Can work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment and cope with changing priorities
  • Good communication skills verbal and written with the ability to collaborate and build relationships
  • Solid understanding of accounting principals and practices
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft office with an emphasis on Excel
  • Good overall computer skills
  • Detailed oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Self motivated with a positive attitude
  • Yardi Voyager and Kardin experience is an asset
