Overview

Assist Project Managers so that they can efficiently manage multiple projects.  Provide project support from design through completion of construction, including project organization.  Interact with all project team members as necessary to perform duties and to keep all parties informed and project information organized. Independently lead aspects of the projects including meetings, minutes, cost control, furniture, move, IT/AV, etc. Assist with Project close out.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for smooth project execution.
  • Support in formulating project budgets and schedules.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFP packages for service providers and consultants.
  • Facilitate design procedures in adherence to approved timelines.
  • Convey project particulars to client teams as required.
  • Offer suggestions and strategies to help ensure projects stay within the budget.
  • Liaise with clients regarding budget, schedule, and potential risks.
  • Support in nurturing client relationships.
  • Cooperate in resolving project-related issues.
  • Aid in ensuring timely completion of projects by monitoring progress and suggesting strategy modifications.
  • Support in reviewing and approving monthly payments to contractors and vendors.
  • Help oversee the project closeout process.
  • Contribute to the mentorship of project team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of proposals for new projects.
  • Aid in the development of internal project tracking and documentation procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining project records in line with company standards.
  • Attend industry events and engage in networking.
  • Support in fostering relationships with consultants, vendors, and industry professionals.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of project management experience
  • 0-2 years of construction experience
  • 0-2 years of lab experience
  • 2-5 years of lab planning experience
  • 2-3 years of relocation experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project, and Smart Sheet
  • AutoCAD a plus
  • Ability to read and comprehend architectural and engineering plans
  • Excellent organizational & interpersonal skills
  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Post secondary degree in business, architectural, engineering, or related field
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to rent a car if needed to travel to sites not accessible by public transportation.
